With this new update, users on X can now receive AI-generated videos by simply tagging @AskPerplexity along with a prompt. In response, the chatbot creates an eight-second video complete with creative visuals, audio, and even dialogue, based on the user’s input.

Tag @AskPerplexity in a post or comment.
Add a brief prompt or question describing what kind of video you want.
Wait for a reply containing your AI-generated video clip.
While still in its early phase, this feature has already gone viral, with users flooding X with videos depicting imaginative, often fictional scenes involving real celebrities, politicians, and public figures.
Video Feature Raises Misinformation Concerns
