OpenAI adds Study Mode to ChatGPT's abilities – Notebookcheck
OpenAI has expanded ChatGPT’s abilities with Study Mode to help students learn step-by-step how its answers were generated. OpenAI will take what learning methods work best and later apply them to its core AI models.
Study Mode is now available to users with Free, Plus, Pro, and Team accounts. The new feature will roll out to ChatGPT Edu accounts in the upcoming weeks. This mode is selected from the available ChatGPT modes in the prompt window, which include other choices like Deep Research.
In the new mode, ChatGPT quizzes students to learn their skill levels, then tailors its answers to match. The answers to prompts are not provided directly but instead doled out through step-by-step methods, hints, and questions that ask the student to think and arrive at the right solution.
The AI can also test students on what they have learned and whether they can apply their new knowledge to other similar problems while preparing them for exams.
Students who sleep through classes can try a Plaud Note AI voice recorder, which uses ChatGPT to automatically transcribe and summarize lectures.
