Grandmother hit the jackpot using ChatGPT – Greater Belize Media

A grandmother from Virginia, USA, hit the Powerball jackpot after asking ChatGPT to pick her numbers.
Carrie Edwards has donated her entire $150,000 win to three charities.
Fox News reported that Edwards said she instantly knew what she would do with the unexpected windfall. “I knew I needed to give it all away, because I’ve been so blessed, and I want this to be an example of how other people, when they’re blessed, can bless other people,” she said.
Her first donation went to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. Edwards’ late husband, Steve, died from the disease last year. “This cause is deeply personal,” she said.
She also donated to Shalom Farms, a food justice organisation in Richmond. Its director said the gift will ensure families in the city continue to have access to fresh produce.
Her third donation supported the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, honouring her father, a Navy fighter pilot. Edwards said the three charities represent “healing, service and community.”

Edwards revealed that she had turned to artificial intelligence for help with her lucky numbers. “I’m like, ‘Hey, ChatGPT, talk to me … Do you have numbers for me?” she said. The app told her it was all about luck, but she tried anyway. Two days later she was in a meeting when her phone flashed a message: “Please collect your lottery winnings.” At first she thought it was a scam. It was only after logging into her Virginia Lottery account at home that she realised she had won.
