On page 1 of The Australian Financial Review on Friday, OpenAI’s chief strategy officer, Jason Kwon, was all smiles as he announced that the world’s most important artificial intelligence player would become the anchor tenant for the biggest data centre in the southern hemisphere, a $7 billion giant to be built at Eastern Creek in Sydney by ASX-listed data centre firm NextDC.
