ChatGPT has a Sora-powered Holiday easter egg – 9to5Mac

As Sam Altman teaser on X, you can prompt ChatGPT with a single emoji, and get a personalized Christmas-themed video made by Sora in return. Here’s how to do it.
Earlier tonight, Sam Altman posted a bit of a teaser on X, as he likes to do:
here is a little hint: 🎁
It wasn’t long before users found out that you can send 🎁 as a prompt to ChatGPT, and it will ask you to either upload or take a selfie.
Then, it will hand things off to Sora to create a funny, personalized Christmas video, based on what ChatGPT knows about you from previous interactions.
You have no control over what Sora creates, which means you can’t choose the aesthetics, the theme, or what happens in the video. Santa will either tell you you’ve been good this year, so he brought something you’ll like, or you’ve been bad this year, so he brought you something you’ll hate. Here’s what it came up with for me:
Here’s what Sora came up with for an X user who uploaded Altman’s selfie, rather than their own:

Right now, you can’t create multiple videos, which means that if you create a new chat session, and send 🎁 again, it will just return the same video. Alternatively, the easter egg seems to work with other Christmas-related emoji, such as 🎅, and 🎄.
