Microsoft introduced GPT-powered AI chatbot and assistant Copilot to its products, including Windows 10 and Windows 11, this year. The Microsoft Copilot app is now available for Android smartphones and tablets. This app competes with the likes of ChatGPT and Google Bard to offer more advanced solutions to your questions and problems.
As spotted by Neowin, Microsoft quietly launched the Copilot app for Android devices a few days ago. The app is now available on the Google Play Store and doesn’t require a sign-in. It is powered by the GPT-4 AI engine by OpenAI and offers three conversation styles for responses: Balanced, Creative, and Precise. The app isn’t available for iOS or iPadOS devices yet.
The app offers answers to your questions, helps you compose emails or messages, generate images through text prompts (powered by Dall-E 3), and create documents. It can also solve mathematics problems to help students with their homework and projects. In comparison, access to GPT-4 via the ChatGPT app for Android requires users to pay.
Last month, Microsoft rebranded Bing Chat to Copilot. Microsoft started pushing GPT-powered AI features earlier this year, starting with a rehauled version of the Bing search engine. Later, the AI chatbot was brought to Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft Copilot has been integrated into Office 365 for document creation, editing, and summarization.
