Chinese search giant Baidu has launched a free iOS app featuring its ChatGPT-like service ERNIE Bot, nearly four months after the AI assistant was unveiled. Baidu told local media outlets that ERNIE Bot was still in beta mode, and that the mobile release would “facilitate better testing.” Those with invitation codes can access the mobile app automatically, while other would-be users can apply for access. According to the product description in the App Store, the app offers the same features as the web version, enabling users to chat with the AI-powered bot and send prompts within the app. [Southern Metropolis Daily, in Chinese]
