The law firm in a case involving missing taxpayer funds has fired one of its attorneys, requested a public reprimand for another and apologized for submitting bogus AI-generated content.
The news came in a legal filing Wednesday, Sept. 3.
After fictitious citations in a filing were discovered in August, Washoe District Court Judge David Hardy demanded the attorneys — Jan Tomasik and Daniel Mann — appear Friday to explain themselves and face disciplinary action for wasting the court’s time.
