I have no idea what the AI service ChatGPT does or how it does it, and zero interest in learning.
Actually, scratch that; I have a bit of an idea. My understanding of ChatGPT is that it can write text for you on any subject that you ask it about.
For pity’s sake, tech world. WRITING is the only part of my life that I enjoy.
Here are just a few ideas for any little Tech Genius Bro or Bro-ettes to create for their next round of venture capital fundraising. Any of these AI technologies would help me a lot more than a bot who wants to write some executive summaries for me.
I didn’t actually mind wiping my kids’ butts when they were babies and their poo smelled like cut grass and sunshine (not really, but they were cute and eventually I could change a diaper in about 30 seconds flat so, even if the smells were offensive, they didn’t last long). However: during the year that I helped as a caregiver for my mom, I was really, really bad at helping with her, ahem, bottom hygiene.
It is not easy to help anyone with bowel incontinence get cleaned up. The people who currently do it for a career are not paid anywhere near enough for this absolutely necessary job. What do you have for me in the way of a compassionate robot/AI who can sense when an elderly person needs the bathroom, convince them to go to the bathroom, and then can also politely suggest they not try to change their own underwear because then everything gets everywhere? Could this robot also please notice when bedding or clothing or towels (or toilets or floors or walls, for that matter) become soiled, and then start a wash?
I know we’ve all seen the unnerving dancing robot dogs but honestly, my need for a dancing robot dog is ZERO. I need a sturdy robot that can go anywhere and do anything with the gentlest of touches. It absolutely doesn’t need to dance while it’s doing it.
2. HealthcareGPT
I need an AI service into which I can feed my 130-page health insurance “booklet” filled with rules that, as far as I can tell, are written in ancient Byzantine and, even when translated, make zero sense. Then I need to feed that AI my family’s numerous health issues, have it…
