OpenAI fixes the issue that caused ChatGPT outage for several hours – TechCrunch

Popular AI chatbot service ChatGPT has faced multiple outages today with OpenAI working on issues to make the service available to users.
According to the company’s service status tracker, the company started working on the first issue at 12:21 AM PDT on June 4. OpenAI said it fixed this issue at 04.19 AM PT.
However, hours after this update, the company said it was investigating another outage at 07.33 AM PT.
The service was down for several users across the globe in the early hours of the day Pacific time. Many users have posted about the issue on X and Threads.
OpenAI has flagged these service interruptions as a major outage. But the company hasn’t given any information about what is causing the outages yet.
ChatGPT has more than 100 million weekly users, according to OpenAI.
There have been a few partial outages for ChatGPT users in the last 30 days. The most notable incident was when users were not able to access web results because of the Bing API outage last month.
