WhatsApp's Meta AI chatbot is now accessible via a new button – Mashable
It’s no secret that Mark Zuckerberg wants to add Meta AI to WhatsApp. In September, Meta announced its plans to unleash an AI-powered chatbot to the messaging platform.
However, what’s new is that WABetaInfo spotted a cute little button inside WhatsApp, allowing users to quickly launch the AI chat with a simple tap.
You can find the new AI button in the Chats tab; it’s placed above the green “Start a New Chat” icon. Before, as WABetaInfo points out, the AI-powered chat was tucked away somewhere in users’ contact list.
With this new, multicolored shortcut, more users will discover the action button. You can’t miss it.
Once you tap on the new shortcut, it will launch an AI-powered chatbot, which is designed to offer companionship, personalized advice, and entertaining interactions.
This new feature is in preview. Users can access it by downloading the latest WhatsApp beta via the Google Play Store. Though it’s still in beta, as AndroidPolice pointed out, WhatApp’s new AI chatbot shouldn’t be “too far from a stable channel release.”
Meta AI is expected to be integrated with all of Meta’s platforms, from Instagram to WhatsApp — and even its new Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
