Over the past two years, AI tools have gone from experimental side projects to everyday infrastructure in workplaces. Employees are using them to draft emails, summarize reports and explore new products — but they’re also increasingly aware that casual experimentation isn’t the same as real fluency.
New research from KPMG in Canada found that 83 per cent of Canadian employees want and/or need to upskill to use generative AI tools more effectively. The same report notes that more than half already use these tools at work, yet many feel unprepared for the pace of change.
