Nothing's latest $99 smartwatch has ChatGPT, improved health tracking, and obviously no Wear OS – 9to5Google
Available starting today, Nothing is releasing its latest affordable smartwatch in the $99 CMF Watch 3 Pro. It has a few key upgrades, but obviously trades the functionality of Wear OS for its much more affordable price point.
“CMF by Nothing” has already put out two smartwatches, with the brand focusing on uber-affordable devices that have a slick design and good fundamentals rather than flashy features and high-end specs. Case in point is the new CMF Watch 3 Pro, which Nothing says is designed for “everyday users and casual fitness explorers.”
Highlights on CMF Watch 3 Pro include a redesigned metal body that ditches interchangeable bezels for a bigger 1.43-inch AMOLED display with thinner bezels, as well as a new four-channel heart rate sensor. Nothing says you’ll get over 130 sports modes on the watch, while still getting 13 days of battery life – thanks in large part to the lightweight RTOS in place of something more capable like Wear OS. You’ll also now get ChatGPT support on this watch, enabling features like voice notes and search.
Nothing says:
With ChatGPT integration, you can ask questions, get facts, or set reminders, all using natural-language voice prompts. A built-in voice recorder with auto-transcription helps capture notes or ideas on the go, and an Essential News tool delivers daily digests based on your interests. Bluetooth calling, gesture shortcuts, and 140-character quick replies round out a smart, intuitive experience that keeps up with you. An additional microphone has been added to improve call pickup.
Meanwhile, on the software side, the CMF Watch 3 Pro as well as the rest of CMF’s watches will be moving to the Nothing X app – the same app used for Nothing headphones.
CMF Watch 3 Pro is available today from Nothing’s website and will presumably also launch on Amazon at some point soon. Color options include Orange, Dark Grey, and Light Grey.
