The way it works is simple. Think of it as texting, you type something, send the message, and expect a response. An AI chatbot is similar except that you can order it around to do various tasks for you.

Do note that in the top part of the chatbox, there’s an option to choose between GPT-3.5 or GPT-4. The latter is more powerful so use it if it’s available for you.
Begin by typing a question or statement in the chatbox. This can be as simple as “Hello, ChatGPT! What are the things you can do for me?“
After sending your message, wait a few moments for ChatGPT to respond.
You can ask questions, seek information, or even have casual conversations. Try to experiment and be creative, this AI is potent enough to be actually called “human-like”.
After all, its system is designed to understand and generate human-like text based on the input it receives. Simply put, human inputs (You) = humanlike responses (ChatGPT).
Some platforms may offer advanced features, such as adjusting the model’s creativity or setting specific guidelines for the conversation. It varies, so familiarize yourself with these to tailor your ChatGPT experience.
There are also plugins available for GPT-4 which you can add by browsing in their plugin store. To access, simply hover over the GPT-4 option and click Plugins.
Once you’re done, you can simply close the chat window or navigate away from the page. ChatGPT doesn’t retain personal chat histories, ensuring your privacy.
