Microsoft and Aptos Labs have announced a partnership to develop an artificial intelligence chatbot and delve into asset tokenization. Aptos will also operate validator nodes on Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure to enhance the reliability and security of the Aptos blockchain.
After the shelving of Meta’s diem stablecoin project, the original team behind the initiative regrouped under Aptos Labs with the goal of resurrecting and realizing the vision of the abandoned project.
The AI chatbot, named the Aptos Assistant, aims to provide information about the Aptos blockchain, making it easier for users to onboard into Web3. Additionally, it seeks to assist developers in constructing decentralized apps and smart contracts.
The partnership with Microsoft Azure’s Open AI aims to democratize blockchain use, enabling users to seamlessly onboard to Web3 and empowering innovators to create exciting new decentralized applications using AI.
According to Rashmi Misra from Microsoft, artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies are converging due to their generational breakthroughs that profoundly impact the internet’s evolution and shape society.
The collaboration between Microsoft and Aptos Labs will also explore asset tokenization, payments, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) to further integrate Web3 within the financial services industry.
This marks the third blockchain-focused collaboration Microsoft has announced this summer. Previously, Microsoft partnered with Axelar, Ankr, and Matter Labs to advance the adoption of blockchain technologies and promote data integration and interoperability.
The integration between Ankr, Matter Labs, and Microsoft will incorporate Ankr’s solutions, including the zkSync Era’s blockchain network and Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure.
