TikTok is currently testing a new artificial intelligence chatbot called “Tako.” The social media platform is joining the race to develop AI technology following the release of OpenAI’s ChatGPT last year. The existence of Tako was revealed by reports from Bloomberg and Reuters, based on screenshots and analysis from Watchful Technologies, a Tel Aviv firm that tracks app development.
TikTok has confirmed that Tako, developed using third-party technology, is being tested by select users in the Philippines.
