There’s a lot to do and eat at The Big E. But what’s the best schedule if you’re only going for a day?
We asked ChatGPT to “create a daily schedule for going to The Big E with food suggestions.” And while it did come up with a schedule, there are a few things to note about it. But ChatGPT recognized its limitations too.
“Please note that this is a fictional schedule and doesn’t reflect any specific events or attractions for any given year. Be sure to check the official website of The Big E for the most up-to-date information for the year you plan to attend,” ChatGPT said.
See below for the schedule, including a few notes from MassLive in italics.
Sample Daily Schedule with Food Suggestions for The Big E:
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM:
Food Suggestion: Start your day with a hearty breakfast. Consider trying a classic American breakfast with pancakes, eggs, and bacon from a local diner. Once you’ve dealt with traffic, it’s probably best to stay at The Big E. However, you can find a good breakfast at the fire house within the fair.
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM:
Food Suggestion: Grab a fresh fruit or vegetable snack from one of the stands in the Agricultural Area. Maybe try one of the many pickle options at the fair.
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM:
Food Suggestion: Sample some freshly cooked regional specialties featured in the demonstration. If there are no samples, consider walking the state buildings for free samples.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM:
Food Suggestion: Treat yourself to a handcrafted ice cream cone or a piece of artisanal chocolate.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM:
Food Suggestion: Indulge in a diverse meal like a loaded BBQ sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. Here are all the best foods at The Big E, including The BBQ Sundae.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM:
Food Suggestion: Savor a gourmet popcorn snack while enjoying the live music.
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM:
Food Suggestion: Treat yourself to a classic fair treat like a funnel cake or corn dog. We suggest getting a cream puff — a classic at The Big E.
