AI Output Verification Checklist

A practical checklist to reduce hallucinations and risky claims before you publish or send.

Use this before you send an email, publish a page, or put a claim in an ad. It prevents the most common AI mistakes.

Verification checklist

  • Facts: Are numbers, names, dates, laws, or prices verified?
  • Claims: Can you prove every promise (results, speed, savings)?
  • Compliance: Any medical, legal, financial advice that needs a professional review?
  • Attribution: If you referenced a brand or standard, is it correct?
  • Tone risk: Could the message be misread as rude, discriminatory, or misleading?

Safe prompt add-on

Before finalizing: list any factual claims you made, label them as verified/unverified, and suggest how to verify each one. If a claim cannot be verified, rewrite that sentence to be conservative.
